Period Delay

Period Delay

Having your period whilst travelling can be inconvenient and can prevent you from taking part in all the activities.  At times like these, you may want to think about delaying your period for a short while.

Our travel experts can supply you with a tablet called norethisterone which will postpone your period until you stop taking the tablets. Alternatively, you can have your GP prescribe this for you.

Travelling with period pain

Female travellers not only have to worry about vaccinations and medications for a host of diseases and illnesses, but they also have to take into account their menstruation cycle. And how it may affect them while abroad.

Developing countries with lower sanitary hygiene or those who have specific cultural or religious requirements could make buying sanitary pads difficult. If you are travelling to less developed countries it would be advisable to bring a sufficient supply with you. That to last the duration of your trip.

If you suffer with heavy or often painful periods, you may want to consider adequate pain relief to take with you whilst on your travels.

If you would like more information, speak to one of our travel experts or visit your nearest travel clinic.
